Guidance Service

From April 2015 pension holders, aged at least 55, will be able to take advantage of the new rules on the amounts that they can remove from their pensions. These changes require you to receive guidance as to the financial and taxation implications of any actions you propose taking with your pension fund.

Everyone should receive free guidance to help them make sense of their options at retirement:

  • over the telephone from The Pensions Advisory Service
  • or, in a face to face meeting at your local Citizens Advice Bureau.

There will be no charge for this service and your pension provider will be required to tell you about this impartial guidance.

This service will be guidance and not advice from a qualified professional. We strongly advise that you seek professional advice from a fully qualified and regulated Independent Financial Advisor. Whilst this will not be free, Pension decisions are usually a major financial decision that requires the appropriate level of advice.
